Beechworth Contemporary Art Space was established September 2021 and exhibits an eclectic variety of artwork created by artists living in Beechworth and the surrounding regions. The gallery offers a program of group exhibitions, curated by Machielse Hunt, showcasing Seasonal Collections by professional artists.
Nina is also the Artistic Director of a brand new art event, the Beechworth Contemporary Art Award was held in September 2022 with 10 finalists chosen from 200 entries from across Australia. Competing for $10,000 in prize money, the selected site specific artworks were installed in streets, alleyways, parks, and buildings in Beechworth. In 2024 the event will evolve into Beechworth Contemporary Biennale with the prize money reallocated to fees so more artists can exhibit.
