In this session we will explore Eamon O’Toole’s exhibition Hot Lap which features sculptural creations of cars, motorbikes, and engines! Eamon O’Toole creatively builds replicas of motor vehicles, tools, and other motor inspired objects. In this session our Little Artists will use their imaginations to create a tiny engine, car or yet to be invented vehicle
This fun exhibition will inspire our little sculptors to get creative and tinker with a range of art materials to make their own motor inspired sculpture.
Materials: Toilet paper tube, paint, paintbrush, scissors, glue, egg cartons, caps, markers, stickers, foil and markers.
Definitions and Learnings: This activity will encourage problem solving, construction, fine motor skills and creative thinking. Children will improve their ability to paste, stick, cut, and paint with intention; making decision on colours, shape and what they want to create. Making decisions is hard!
Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.
