Gallery Shop

Local artists, Jana Brook and Catherine Fuller, present a collection of watercolour paintings in the Gallery Shop throughout February.
Jana and Catherine met at a Benalla Art Gallery workshop, where they bonded over a shared love of sketching rural landscapes. Both artists are particularly drawn to the Winton Wetlands and other local sites, returning regularly to these places to find inspiration and creative energy. At the end of each sketching session, both artists describe feeling restored, deeply connected to the land, and ‘grounded’.
Jana Brook is an established watercolourist who often works with watercolour and pen. She meticulously journals her practice and regularly undertakes en plein air studies, which inform both her onsite and studio-based works.
Catherine Fuller is an emerging artist and a late comer to formal art techniques. She enjoys experimenting across a range of mediums and is still exploring and developing her preferred style.
