COUGHLIN FAMILY NAMED FUND
Supporting the future of the Benalla Art Gallery is something deeply personal for Sheryl Coughlin. Her family’s connection to Benalla dates to 1931 through the iconic local retailer, Millers Benalla, a local institution that has been part of the town’s story since 1891. Over the decades, her grandparents and parents have contributed significantly to the cultural, social, and economic life of the community.
Sheryl’s grandmother, Mrs. A.W. Grubb, was among the Gallery’s first supporters, and her mother, Norma Grubb OAM, was a life member. Establishing a Named Fund continues that family commitment, helping ensure the Gallery remains a vibrant cultural institution for future generations.
Sheryl sees the Gallery as more than an exhibition space, it nurtures creativity, supports artists, and strengthens community connections. Through their Named Fund, the Coughlin family, Paul, Sheryl, James, Alexander, and William, are proud to help secure the Gallery’s future so that it may continue to inspire, delight, and connect people for many generations to come.
