Saturday 5 August 11AM–4PM

Are you having problems getting sharp and clear images? Are you happy with the photos you take of your favourite places and people? In this workshop Spowart and Cooper will share their knowledge and experience to give you some basic tips towards taking photos with digital cameras.

We may have our phones, small point-n-shoot cameras, iPads and android devices and DSLR cameras but are we using them in ways that will give us the BEST results?

The program will include a practical shoot-out session.

We will demonstrate things that make a difference in your photography:
• Identifying the best light for the subject you are photographing
• Arranging the subject elements to make the best composition
• The best moment to capture the subject
• Tips for common subjects – portrait, landscape & close-up

Digital topic explanations:
• Operating the digital capture (camera) devices
• File format, file size & metadata
• Preparing files for different purposes – send as a message, post online, use in digital presentations or print a photo
• Titling, storing and archiving files (at home or on the Cloud)

Please note: This workshop will include a half hour lunch break. BYO lunch or purchase from Munro+Sargeant Café at the Gallery.
