Discover the beauty of nature through drawing in this inspiring graphite pencil workshop with Albury-based artist Karen Brown. Join us for a creative and hands‑on Art on Saturdays session where you’ll learn how to capture the rich textures and intricate details found in the natural world. Karen will guide you step‑by‑step through the techniques she uses to achieve her highly realistic, almost photographic drawings.

Whether you’re just beginning or looking to refine your graphite skills, this workshop offers a welcoming and supportive space to grow your confidence.

Subject matter and materials will be provided however, feel free to bring along natural objects that spark your imagination. All materials will be provided. Please BYO lunch.

About the Artist:

Karen Brown is an Albury‑based artist whose work is inspired by the natural environment along the Murray River. Her highly detailed drawings encourage viewers to notice the fine textures and tiny details in everyday natural and man‑made objects.

A Resident Artist at Art Gallery on Ovens in Wangaratta, Karen’s work is held in public and private collections. She recently won an award at the King Valley Art Show for her graphite drawing Winter.
