Learn about Mandalas — Sanskrit for circle— and create a visual expression of your personal story. Whether simple or complex, every Mandala is unique, just as every person is. In a relaxed, safe and supported space, Marie will guide participants step-by-step to create their Mandala.

No prior painting experience is required but please bring an apron to protect your clothing.

This workshop will include a half hour lunch break. BYO lunch or purchase from Munro+Sargeant Café at the Gallery.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Marie Salinger works in a wide range of visual media including painting, photography, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, and sculpture and has established her art studio with the Mayday Hills Arts Society (MDHAS) in Beechworth. Marie studied Art at Melbourne State College, graduating in 1982 and has been an art educator since then in a wide range of school settings. Concurrently with teaching, Marie has maintained her own art practice and has exhibited her work in group exhibitions in Darwin, Melbourne, and Beechworth.
