The Gallery’s series of Artist Talks continues with Liz Walker to coincide with her Gallery Shop exhibition, Take a walk on the wild side.

Liz has recently moved to the Mornington Peninsula from inner city Melbourne and now works from a large light filled studio at home which can at last, house the mountain of collected materials used in her work.

For many years she has spent time at the family holiday home in Jamieson exploring and observing the beautiful natural surroundings . The natural remnants collected from that area have consistently informed her arts practice and the works in Take a walk on the wild side present some of her finds in recycled vintage brass, copper, wire and roofing iron.

Liz has exhibited widely in group and solo exhibitions, undertaken public artworks, received awards, grants and residencies and her work is held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
