Join us on the first Monday of February at 10am for an informative lecture exploring the history and highlights of the RACV Art Collection.

Presented by Mardi Nowak, Head of Visual Arts, RACV, the session coincides with the landmark new collaborative exhibition Re-gathering, which marks the first time RACV has loaned a substantial body of works from its collection of Australian contemporary art to a regional gallery.

SPEAKER BIO:

Mardi Nowak has worked as a Curator, Gallery Director and Collections Manager for over 20 years. She is currently the Head of Visual Arts at RACV, connecting communities with art and creating programs to support social cohesion. Mardi is recognised for her leadership and vision to create a collaborative environment between place, artists and arts professionals to produce unique exhibitions and programs. She has shared her programs and lectures in the UK, USA and recently in Istanbul at the International Design Biennial.

ABOUT THE RACV ART COLLECTION:

Established in 2003, the RACV Art Collection features more than 1000 contemporary works, supporting Australian living artists. Most works have been created within the last 20 years, reflecting the current arts landscape and social themes. Key artists include Del Kathryn Barton, Jon Cattapan, Rosemary Laing, Jan Senbergs and Jenny Watson. The RACV Art Collection is accessible across RACV premises, and online.
