About the Artist

Joan Mullarvey is an established artist living in north east Victoria. Her work is held in private collections both domestically and internationally and she has been the recipient of many awards and commendations.

Describing herself as an experimental printmaker, Mullarvey’s work sits between painting and printmaking, creating bold and distinctive works on paper that take inspiration from her local environment. Interested in form and structure, she often shifts the perspective, recreating a scene using observational drawing, texture, shape, overlapping forms, and repetition to create a sense of place and space.
