Explore your improvisation practice, while drawing inspiration from other artists and the Gallery environment. Share techniques and skills and expand your artistic practice.
Artists of all levels are welcome to join the sessions. Sessions will be co-designed and devised between the sharing artists to most adequately meet their practice needs and to explore new approaches to artwork development.
FRESH JUICE sessions will be held on the third Thursday evening of each month.
FRESH JUICE kicked off in April, with participants commencing with juicy discussions about their practice and what they wished to gain from the sessions, and a card reading to focus creative energy. Together participants decided how to proceed with an improvisation practice throughout the evening, allowing for both physical explorations and reflection within the session. Participants pushed their practices, introducing the use of other mediums and props. The session presented many opportunities to take risks in a safe, supported space. These sessions are a great way to explore performance-making and new ideas in a collaborative space.
