In this Little Artists session, participants will create an animal picture using Autumn leaves.
As leaves in our parks and gardens start to change colour, Autumn is the perfect time to collect colourful leaves to create Autumn animals.
Some leaves you collect may look like a little bird or be shaped like a round wombat, or a lion’s face. Choose your leaf and then build it into a picture. You could even use acorns and gumnuts for eyes and a nose! Let your imagination run wild and create fun leaf animal pictures!
Materials: Leaves, gumnuts, acorns, coloured pencils, glue and paper
Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.
Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
