Inspired by the exhibition Rambles by Mary Tonkin, participants will learn about landscapes and their elements. They will try different painting approaches using brushes, as well as shapes and objects to create layered pictures.
Materials: Paint, paper, recycled objects, leaves, cut-out shapes
Definitions and Learnings: This activity encourages the development of fine motor skills and colour recognition, as well as the ability to identify and make shapes. Children will learn about the elements of landscapes (foreground, middle ground, background).

Cost: FREE
Registration essential: Please call 03 5760 2619 or email gallery@benalla.vic.gov.au

Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.
Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
