Using liquid watercolours and vegetable dyes, Little Artists will create interesting landscapes with wild colours. Using a range of application techniques including spray bottles, brushes and droppers, these landscapes will be other-worldly!

Materials:  watercolour paper, brushes, droppers, rollers, spray bottles, liquid watercolour, vegetable dyes.

Definitions and Learnings: This activity encourages learning through play, as well as developing fine motor skills using a variety of applications, techniques and tools. Children will learn about landscapes and what makes up a landscape image, using their creativity to identify landscapes in their own free form paintings.

Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.

Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
