Drip, splash, spray, drop and paint colourful patterns to create your own unique fabric wall hanging. Little Artists will be encouraged to explore colour and patterns using watercolour dye and different methods of application. This could get messy, so don’t wear your best clothes!

Smocks provided.

Materials:

Fabric, fabric dye, spray bottles, droppers

Mat Time:

This month during Mat Time, Little Artists will read ‘The Great Paint’ by Alex Willmore and discover that art can be many things. Together, we will take a walk through the gallery spaces and discover the different types of art displayed here and discuss what we can see. Yes, fabric painting and dyeing is art too!

Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fund while learning about art.
Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
