Friday 1 May, 10–10.45AM

In this Little Artists session, we will explore the current exhibition by Bill Young and Anita Laurence, paying attention to the images of ‘home’ and ‘places’ reflecting on where we live and what we see both here and in the exhibition.

Inspired by these conversations, children will create their own landscape artwork through drawing, and collage.

Materials: paper, pens, posca pens, collage pieces, stamps.

Definitions and Learnings: This activity encourages exploration and hands on learning using a range of materials which develop fine motor skills. Thinking and feeling is also generated through viewing artworks and talking about our own environments.

Ages: For pre-school aged children and their parents/carers

Cost: FREE

Registration essential: Book online below, call 03 5760 2619 or email gallery@benalla.vic.gov.au

Where: Pop-Up Benalla Art Gallery, 75 Bridge St.

Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.

Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
