In keeping with the spirit of the recent exhibition Re-gathering, we invite the community to come together for a fantastic and free party at Benalla Art Gallery! Saturday 24 July will be filled with art events inviting our community to re-gather as we explore our COVID-normal world.

From isolation, to finding peace in mindful activities, to shared emotions and experiences, Re-gathering focused on the power of human resilience in times of adversity.

As we come together stronger as a community, enjoy life drawing, craft, music, dance, and outdoor RACV activities with free coffee, sausage sizzle and popcorn!

RACV Colouring Wall and Games

Location: Benalla Botanical Gardens surrounding Benalla Art Gallery
Age restrictions / conditions: All ages

Come and enjoy some well-loved RACV activities in the beautiful grounds of the Benalla Botanic Gardens. Re-emerge, re-gather and enjoy the gallery as well as the outdoors. There will be a colouring wall where you can colour in your favourite Benalla icon, giant connect four, snakes & ladders as well as free coffee, popcorn and a sausage sizzle!

DJ sets from the DJ 101 Series

Presenter: DD.Rytm & Bella Kocis

Enjoy smooth musical beats from two incredible emerging DJs bursting onto the scene! DJ’s Bella Kocis and DD.Rytm will bring their bright, fun and inclusive energy to the dancefloor, so come get down and boogie!

Life Drawing

Time: 2 sessions, 12.30—1.15PM and 1.45—2.30PM
Location: Ledger Gallery
Capacity: 12 per session
Age restrictions / conditions: adults 16 + (younger with adult supervision)

Take part in a very special life drawing class led by local artist Janet Leith, where you’ll observe and sketch classical musicians as you are immersed in their melodies. All materials will be supplied, though feel free to bring your own.

Join Helen and Samantha from Sticky Institute for a crash course in zines! In this workshop, you will learn how to create an 8-page mini zine using only a single sheet of paper. Sticky Institute is a volunteer run organisation devoted entirely to zines.
