ABOUT THE BENALLA ART GALLERY FOUNDATION
Benalla Art Gallery Foundation supports Benalla Art Gallery to be the meeting point in North-East Victoria, through a commitment to progressive, inclusive and responsive art programming and practices, that deliver transformational social, cultural, and economic outcomes for our community.
The Benalla Art Gallery Foundation aims to secure the financial resources to ensure the Gallery’s long-term vitality and continued contribution to our cultural landscape and the regional economy. Donations, grants, and bequests to the Foundation enable the Gallery to improve the ageing building and facilities, build the collection, and to staff quality programs and community engagement.
Benalla Art Gallery Foundation is a Public Ancillary Fund and a registered charity, reporting to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) annually. The Benalla Art Gallery Foundation is a separate entity to Benalla Rural City Council and is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Trustee for Benalla Art Gallery Foundation: ABN 34 506 228 016 7. Registered Charity ACN 662 150 70.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
By providing a sustainable funding base, the Benalla Art Gallery Foundation plays a vital role in expanding our Gallery’s reach, improving educational opportunities, delivering economic impact to the region, and enriching our local and regional community’s engagement and wellbeing with a dynamic calendar of exhibitions, programs and events.
The Foundation is the Gallery’s fundraising arm. The Board of Trustees is focused on raising funds across four key areas: short-term project funding for Benalla Art Gallery; funds for future redevelopment of Benalla Art Gallery to ensure this iconic 1972 building is fit-for-purpose and financially sustainable, our long-term goal to grow the Foundation Corpus, and critically, building the capacity of the Foundation which will enable us to deliver on our goals.
The Board of Trustees welcomes all contributions, big or small and we invite you to be a part of our growing community of supporters. Our Donor Circles provide a range of giving levels, or should you wish to explore a major gift, endowment, Cultural Gift or Named Fund, our Foundation Team would be delighted to assist.
