Outdoor Projection Façade
Each night throughout the month of October, Benalla Art Gallery will screen Surrounding Connections, a collaborative artwork by a group of young local artists – Deakin Hoare, Raphael Sutherland, Kyle Margat, and Penny Whiteley – created during a two-day workshop with Melbourne artist Yandell Walton. The participants developed new skills in creating digital moving image artworks using an iPad and multiple creative applications. The work investigates our relationship to nature and explores the surrounding gardens to inspire the content created.
The workshop was staged to coincide with the recent major exhibition, Always and Altered, which contemplated our relationship with the landscape.
