Coinciding with the presentation of Yandell Walton’s spectacular interactive projection artwork, Human Effect, as part of the major exhibition Always and Altered, Benalla Art Gallery is hosting a free workshop to create a collaborative moving image artwork.

Yandell Walton will lead the group across two days to collaboratively conceive a video artwork which explores our connection to nature. Participants will then be guided in techniques to capture video content, which Yandell will then edit into a resolved video work to be projected on the Benalla Art Gallery outdoor projection façade throughout October.

Yandell Walton is a contemporary artist whose work encompasses projection, installation, and interactive digital media. Through work that melds architectural space with the projected image, Yandell has become recognised for her immersive projection works that merge the actual and the virtual to investigate notions of impermanence in relation to environmental, social and political issues.
