Plate Print 3
collagraph print
Saturday 17 and 24 August, 10AM—3PM
Join experienced artist Joan Mullarvey for two days of experimental printmaking. On day one, participants will be guided to construct a collagraph printing plate using a range of textured materials. On day two, they will learn to ink up their plate so when pressed onto paper, it produces a rich, intricate surface that showcases the tactile qualities of the materials used.
About the Artist:
Mullarvey is an accomplished artist based in north east Victoria. Describing herself as an experimental printmaker, her work at times crosses the border between painting and printmaking. Mullarvey relishes the processes involved in printmaking as it allows her the freedom to experiment across all forms.
Materials:
All materials provided however participants are asked to bring simple design ideas (15 cm x 15 cm square). These could be still life, landscape or abstract designs.
