FRIENDS
OF BENALLA
ART GALLERY

If you want to take your involvement in the Gallery further, you may want to join the Friends of Benalla Art Gallery.

The Friends of Benalla Art Gallery is an active social group which provides important support for the Gallery by fundraising and assisting with specific projects. The Friends is overseen by a Committee which meets monthly.

The Friends Committee organises functions, excursions to galleries across Australia and other social events such as luncheons and cocktail parties.

Funds raised by the Friends have contributed to the Gallery in many ways, including enabling the acquisition of specific artworks, funding previous prize exhibitions, and contributing towards solar panels and water harvesting technology to improve the Gallery’s sustainability.

All Gallery members are welcome to join the Friends. Please register your interest:

GIVE

The Benalla Gallery history is a giving one. Indeed, the Gallery wouldn’t be where or what it is today without the contributions of many; from the visionary donations of Mr Laurence Ledger MBE, to the transformational bequest of Mrs Gladys Bennett; from the many decades of tireless work conducted by our Friends of the Gallery, to the donation of funds and artworks made by countless individuals who have felt compelled to help advance our cause.

As the Benalla Art Gallery strives to continue to improve its collection and offering of exhibition and engagement activities, we hope to again call on our generous community of supporters to help us.

Tax Deductible Donations and Bequests
The Benalla Art Gallery Trust Fund was established on 14 July 1986 for the acquisition of art works, services and equipment. The Fund is managed by Trustees who are appointed by the Benalla Art Gallery Special Committee. Donations and bequests to the Trust Fund are tax-deductible and help build the Gallery’s permanent collection for the education and enjoyment of future generations. The Trust Fund maintains the Gallery’s position as a leading regional public gallery. To ensure your donation or bequest can best support the long-term advancement of the Gallery, it is best to discuss your thoughts with us.
