In Mosaiced Memories, artist Lisa Brand reflects on a transformative journey woven through fragments — of glass, of life, and of self. Before discovering mosaics, she wore many hats: restaurant owner, food bus owner and operator, admin supervisor, and Naturopathic student. Lisa is also a devoted mother of three and a proud grandmother. Her creative path began over 20 years ago, experimenting with crafts from dried flower arrangements to handmade frames and paper tole. Eventually it was mosaicing that truly captivated her — an art form that became both sanctuary and revelation.
Emerging during a time of personal upheaval — navigating a collapsing marriage, multiple jobs, and single parenthood — mosaicing offered more than a distraction, it became a lifeline. Over the past five years, Lisa has shared her work with the public, slowly learning to let go of the personal creations she once held close.
“There’s love there,” Lisa says and each mosaic reflects resilience, transformation, and the beauty found in brokenness. Mosaiced Memories invites viewers to glimpse a life rebuilt, piece by piece.
