Friday 6 December 2024, 10-10.45AM

In this Little Artists session, participants will explore the dreamlike and surreal quality of the artworks in our current exhibition Juan Ford – A Survey.

The little ones will make ink shapes by blowing washable ink around a page with straws. Then, using pencils, they will draw on details; What will their ink shapes become? Imaginations will run free, with a range of activities, that explore weird and wonderful combinations of shapes and objects.

Materials: Paper, ink (washable), straws, images for collage and pencils.

Definitions and Learnings: This activity encourages play and experimentation to create surprising elements within the ink shapes and drawing.

Ages: For pre-school aged children and their parents/carers

Cost: FREE

Registration essential: Please call 03 5760 2619 or email gallery@benalla.vic.gov.au

Where: Benalla Art Gallery, Patricia [Pat] Gardner Studio

Benalla Art Gallery’s Little Artists program is developed specifically for pre-school children. We use games, story-telling and creative activities to encourage young children, and their parents and carers, to have fun while learning about art.

Sessions are free and are scheduled for the first week of each month from February to December.
