Wendy JAGGER, ceramics in studio

Cancellation of public programs

The Benalla Art Gallery has cancelled this program based on advice from the Australian Federal and Victorian Governments on preventing the spread of COVID-19, including across our community, staff, volunteers, artists and visitors.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will keep you informed of any future changes via the Gallery website and Facebook.

Tutor: Wendy Jagger

Wendy Jagger teaches ceramics and painting from her purpose built studio in Mansfield, Victoria.  Wendy will guide you through hand-building ceramic techniques to create votives from porcelain. They will be slab built, with found items from the gardens pressed into the porcelain. Votives will be fired by the artist, unglazed.

In the second workshop, join Wendy in the Benalla Botanical Gardens for an afternoon of painting en plein air (in the open air). Drawing on the many botanical specimens and vistas in the surrounding gardens you will explore the local landscape and learn painting techniques using gouache.

Numbers are strictly limited.  All tools and materials are included in the fee.
