Saturday 6 and 13 August, 1—4PM

This workshop is for anyone with an interest in repurposing materials and creating. Participants will be guided through a variety of sculptural techniques using recycled materials and paper, acquiring sculpting skills and working towards a finished piece. Participants can have fun while learning to fabricate, transform, assemble, emboss and sculpt. Bring photos, drawings and ideas that you have an affinity with as inspiration for your sculpture.

About the Artist:
Taro’s work often concerns the relationship between humans and the environment, and emotions that lead to ideas and new possibilities.  His recent sculptures primarily highlight environmental issues caused by human impact. He transforms recycled materials into forms, which are beyond their original function as a container for consumer goods.
